About Us

GEMS ENGLISH SCHOOL is a premier day-cum-residential coeducational institution in Bihar. The school is situated in a serene environment on the bank of River Sone at Sikaria, which is about 7 K.M. away from the station, Dehri-on-sone Rohtas. The school is managed by the Gospel Echoing Missionary Society(GEMS), a registered charity organization. The school is renowned for its academic excellence and quality. Founded by a visionary leader, Rev. Augustine Jebakumar in 1983, the school continues to stride ahead with the vision to achieve multidimensional transformation of the society under his dynamic and able leadership.

Get to Know Us

Born in 1983, Gems English School sprouted in a rural area of Rohtas District, Bihar where educational opportunities were scarce. The school embarked on a mission to provide quality English medium education for all. The school today stands tall as one of the top CICSE school in the entire state giving birth to several more schools and widely recognized and appreciated by the officials and local community. 

Our Emblem

Our emblem features a central motif, the GEMS logo, within a star-studded crown bearing nine stars and five precious stones.

  • Central Motif: Symbolizes the manifestation of the Triune God to the world.

  • Crown and Stars: Represent victory. The nine stars denote spiritual virtues: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

  • Precious Stones: Signify moral and social virtues: simplicity, sincerity, sacrifice, service, and sanctity.
